DTF stands for “direct-to-film” printing. It's a cool way to get vibrant, durable designs onto fabric! 

 

Direct-to-Film printing uses digital technology to print designs onto a special film, which is then transferred to fabric. This method allows for highly detailed and vibrant prints, including intricate designs and gradients. DTF works well on various fabrics like cotton, polyester, and blends, and is perfect for small-batch orders or projects requiring lots of color variation.

 

From an environmental perspective, DTF uses recyclable plastic film and water-based inks, which tend to have a lower environmental impact compared to traditional plastisol inks used in screen printing. Additionally, because DTF allows for smaller, on-demand print runs, there is less waste in terms of excess inventory or unused materials, which come at a much lower up front cost for the customer.
